01
Initial Contact
The first step is to arrange an appointment for the initial consultation by phone or email/contact form. Please bring any relevant documents with you or send them to me in advance via password-protected email. Please also fill out the (data-protected) online registration form before our first appointment sent to you by email.

If you have private insurance, it is in your own interest to find out what services are included in your insurance plan before the initial consultation.
The following questions are relevant:
• What is the rate at which you are insured?
• Which and how many benefits are included in the insurance contract?
• Does the insurance cover trial sessions and if so, how many?
02
Initial Consultation
In the first session, we can get to know each other and see whether psychotherapy in my practice is the right path for you. We can discuss your concerns and clarify questions in up to three consultation sessions. I would be happy to give you an initial recommendation on how to proceed and what support I think is appropriate. If you are interested, we can arrange further appointments.

Private Insurance and Assistance
In principle, psychotherapy by a licensed psychological psychotherapist is covered by your private health insurance. However, the exact percentage of therapy coverage depends on the details of your insurance plan. Please ask your insurance company about the specific details of your policy in advance to our first session.
The subsidy usually covers the portion insured by you. Please contact your subsidy office to clarify the conditions for reimbursement of psychotherapeutic treatment.
Self-pay Basis
It is always possible to cover the treatment costs on a self-pay basis. The costs for therapy are based on the Fee Regulation for Psychotherapists (GOP). As there are no limitations from insurance providers, the frequency and duration of therapy can meet your individual needs more easily.
Coaching and Consultation
The costs for coaching and consulting are not covered by health insurance. You decide on the duration and frequency of the coaching.

Couples Therapy
The same applies here: couples therapy is not covered by health insurance and must always be paid for by you yourself. The costs are also based on the current Fee Regulation for Psychotherapists (GOP).

A list of the services included in the Fee Regulation for Psychotherapists (GOP)(GOP) can be found here .
03
Diagnosis and Family History
We usually have 4-5 (probationary) sessions to have time to know each other better, to explore the most relevant stress factors and symptoms in more detail (e.g. with the help of diagnostic questionnaires) and to take your family history (anamnesis) into account.
04
Application Process
To start the therapy process, we will fill out any necessary application forms for your health insurance provider to ensure your reimbursement of costs. I will be happy to support you with this. If you are paying for the treatment yourself, this step is not necessary.
05
Development of an explanatory model and therapy goals
During the course of psychotherapy, we will define specific therapy goals and work together to develop a coherent explanation for the development of your symptoms. With the help of suitable psychotherapeutic interventions and with my support, you will work on achieving the goals you have set.
Depending on your individual needs and preferences, romantic partners and/or family members can also included in the therapy process.
